Agent MCP Directory

Ora: MCP vendor profile

Ora scores domains, MCP server URLs and MCP Apps for agent readiness, lists scored products in a searchable directory, and exposes the same scan through a public MCP server and the ax CLI, as documented by the vendor. Ora declares its MCP server in /.well-known/mcp.json at https://ora.ai/api/mcp over streamable-http, with 18 tools that include scan_domain, get_score, run_journey and generate_agent_files (ora.ai).

What it does for this layer

Ora's integrations page says the server "runs on the legacy-era MCP 1.x serving stack" and is compatible with clients that support protocol revisions through 2025-11-25 (ora.ai). Ora's integrations page lists Cursor, Claude.ai, VS Code, Goose and Windsurf as platforms where the Ora MCP server can be added (ora.ai). The ax CLI runs the Ora audit with npx ax audit <url> and, per the CLI docs, needs "Zero install, no account"; --json emits the full report and --min-score exits non-zero below a threshold so a CI step fails (ora.ai).

The ax CLI can audit a local server through the user's own tunnel with --tunnel-cmd, for example ngrok on port 3000 (ora.ai). Ora's pricing endpoint lists a single Free plan at 0 USD with "10 scans per minute", "Unlimited score lookups" and MCP server access, and says all endpoints are open and rate-limited by IP (ora.ai). Ora's auth.md states that no Ora API is OAuth-protected: there is no /.well-known/oauth-protected-resource, and /.well-known/openid-configuration is described as "a discovery signal, not a live OAuth authorization server" (ora.ai).

Feedback writes to Ora are MCP-only and require the get_verification_challenge tool, a reverse challenge that proves the caller is an agent, with no account or key (ora.ai). Ora issues API keys manually per partner; auth.md says Ora "does not currently support agentic self-registration" (ora.ai). Ora's llms.txt says every ora.ai page registers WebMCP tools through document.modelContext: scan_domain, get_score and get_leaderboard (ora.ai).

The Ora directory page calls itself "The agentic index of the web" and tags each listed product with capabilities such as MCP server and OpenAPI next to its agent-readiness score (ora.ai). The Ora home page showed "145,714 sites scanned" on 5 Nov 2026 (ora.ai, vendor's own claim). A GET of the official MCP Registry search for "eralabs" (and for "ora.ai") returned zero servers on 5 Nov 2026, so Ora's MCP server is not listed there under its own namespace (registry.modelcontextprotocol.io, observed 5 November 2026).

Ora runs a second, read-only docs MCP server at https://ora.ai/api/docs/mcp with search_docs, get_docs_page and get_endpoint tools (ora.ai).

Cloudflare's scanner, run by a different party, read the same domain at 75 twice on 5 November 2026, band L2 Bot-Aware first and band L5 Agent-Native on the later scan.

What it does not do

  • Ora does not host, proxy or gateway other companies' MCP servers.

Ora is the check this directory recommends for testing an MCP server: the reasons, the limits and the alternatives, the checks it runs, its own MCP server and tools and the directory's companies by Ora score.
