Vercel: MCP vendor profile
Vercel hosts MCP servers built with mcp-handler as Vercel Functions, runs its own remote Vercel MCP server, and ships an MCP client in the AI SDK alongside the AI Gateway for model traffic, as documented by the vendor. The AI SDK supports HTTP, SSE, stdio and custom transports, and an OAuth client provider for automatic authorization (ai-sdk.dev).

What it does for this layer
The AI SDK recommends the HTTP transport, such as StreamableHTTPClientTransport, for production, and says stdio "should only be used for connecting to local servers" (ai-sdk.dev). The AI SDK calls its MCP client "lightweight" and says it does not support automatic session persistence, resumable streams or receiving notifications (ai-sdk.dev). Vercel pricing lists Hobby at 0 USD a month and Pro at 20 USD a month with 20 USD of included usage credit (vercel.com).
Vercel pricing describes Pro as including a flat-rate CDN with traffic spike protection (vercel.com). Vercel's MCP docs cover deploying MCP servers on Vercel, trying Vercel's own MCP server, and connecting eve, the AI SDK or TanStack AI to MCP servers (vercel.com). The AI SDK MCP client is created with createMCPClient from @ai-sdk/mcp (ai-sdk.dev).

Relation to Ora
Ora says in its launch post of 19 October 2026 that it built the is-agentic.com scanner with Vercel for sites whose job is content, and the AgentReady.org committee gives Vercel infrastructure and web essentials: whether agents can reach a page and read the answer in it (ora.ai, read 5 November 2026).
