Mintlify: MCP vendor profile
Mintlify generates and hosts a search MCP server for every docs site it builds, exposes skill files as MCP resources, registers WebMCP tools on Pro plans, and scores docs sites for agent readability, as documented by the vendor. Skills with a groups field are only exposed to authenticated end users whose groups match, on Mintlify sites that use authentication (www.mintlify.com).

What it does for this layer
Mintlify's search MCP server lets a connected AI application search a docs site and retrieve full pages as Markdown (www.mintlify.com). The Mintlify query docs filesystem tool reads a site's virtual filesystem with shell-style commands, including batch reads across pages in one call (www.mintlify.com). Mintlify's WebMCP page says it registers tools with the browser's navigator.modelContext API, while the WebMCP draft documents document.modelContext (www.mintlify.com and github.com, observed 5 November 2026).
Mintlify pricing lists Starter at 0 USD a month with an MCP server, 5 editor seats and a custom domain (www.mintlify.com). Mintlify Pro is 450 USD a month billed annually or 540 USD billed monthly, with unlimited editor seats and the Assistant (www.mintlify.com). Mintlify's Agent Score page scores docs "the way an agent sees them" and says it is "Built on the AFDocs standard", with a live leaderboard by category (www.mintlify.com).

What it does not do
- Mintlify does not host MCP servers for anything other than the docs sites it builds.
- Mintlify's WebMCP tools are not on the free Starter plan.
Relation to Ora
Ora's launch post of 19 October 2026 gives Mintlify the docs seat on the AgentReady.org committee, reviewing how to build docs that agents read and cite, and names mintlify.com/score as the public ranker that grades documentation (ora.ai, read 5 November 2026).
