# Portkey: MCP vendor profile

Portkey, now presented as Palo Alto Networks Prisma AIRS AI Gateway, runs an MCP Gateway with a central registry of servers and tools, identity-provider sign-in and per-user tool policy, self-hosted or managed, as documented by the vendor. Portkey describes its MCP Gateway as "A unified layer to access and govern MCP tools, without modifying your agents or servers" (portkey.ai).

Portkey's MCP page is headed "Portkey is now PRISMA AIRS AI Gateway" ([portkey.ai](https://portkey.ai/features/mcp)). Portkey's MCP Gateway can be self-hosted, deployed to the customer's cloud or run fully managed ([portkey.ai](https://portkey.ai/features/mcp)).
