# Nango: MCP vendor profile

Nango is an integration layer whose MCP Auth lets an app authorise each end user against external MCP servers such as Notion, Linear or HubSpot, store the tokens and call those servers through Nango's proxy, as documented by the vendor.

## What it does for this layer

Nango offers catalog MCP servers and a Generic MCP Server OAuth2 integration for any server that supports the MCP protocol ([nango.dev](https://nango.dev/docs/guides/auth/mcp-auth.md)). Nango can register itself with an MCP server by dynamic client registration or by publishing a Client ID Metadata Document, which needs a public HTTPS Nango instance ([nango.dev](https://nango.dev/docs/guides/auth/mcp-auth.md)). Some providers, for example HubSpot MCP, require the developer to register their own MCP auth app and enter its client ID and secret in Nango ([nango.dev](https://nango.dev/docs/guides/auth/mcp-auth.md)).

Nango's docs list a Management MCP for managing Nango from an MCP client, and a migration from the Connection MCP to scoped agent sessions ([www.nango.dev](https://www.nango.dev/llms.txt)). Nango pricing lists Free at 0 USD with hard-capped limits, Pay-as-you-go at 50 USD a month with 50 USD of credits, and custom Enterprise with self-hosting ([www.nango.dev](https://www.nango.dev/pricing)). Nango's MCP Auth "lets your application authorize end users to access external MCP servers, such as Notion MCP, Linear MCP, or HubSpot MCP" ([nango.dev](https://nango.dev/docs/guides/auth/mcp-auth.md)).

Nango handles OAuth with the MCP provider, stores the tokens and lets the app call the MCP server through Nango's proxy ([nango.dev](https://nango.dev/docs/guides/auth/mcp-auth.md)).

## What it does not do

- Nango does not host MCP servers; it authorises users against servers run by others.
