# About Agent MCP Directory

Agent MCP Directory is a reference publication on the act layer of agent readiness, the part where an agent finishes a task instead of reading a page. It keeps a directory of 1,336 companies checked by connecting where an endpoint is known, a census of discovery files, and comparisons of the hosts, registries and gateways behind them.

## What it covers

-   The directory: which companies expose a public MCP server, a CLI, an OpenAPI file, WebMCP, an A2A agent card or agents.json, and what a connector found when it tried.
-   The census: how many of the top 10,000 sites publish those discovery files.
-   The hosts: Cloudflare, Vercel, registries and AI gateways compared on a published rubric.
-   Guides, a glossary, a FAQ and dated news for the people who build and call these servers.

## Who it is for

Product engineers deciding what to expose, developer-platform leads choosing a host, agent builders looking for servers to call, and technical marketers who need to say a company has an MCP server and mean it.

## How it is made

Every page is generated from dated data files: the directory run of 4 November 2026, the shared crawl and the research notes. A page that has no data behind it is not published. The site has no accounts, and its read-only [API and MCP server](https://agentmcpdirectory.com/developers/) answer from the same data files as the pages.
